Good morning Mary Smile
Hi all!!! Hope everyone has a super day.

Meg you take it easy on the roses and watchout for their tricky roots. Don't want you falling again. Hope the pain soon subsides.

Well I am still a bit stuffed from the meal yesterday. I felt really tired afterwards and went to bed once we got home. Guess I am just getting too old for all this galavanting about. LOL

Going to be busy working on some cards today here and taking it easy. Hope you all have a super day!!!!
Big hugs to everyone!

Good evening from Ozz.
Pleased you had a good day Pat, and manage to recover today.
We have had very cold and windy weather here today, I was able to get to the letter box tonight(for the first time for ages)it has played havoc with the roses.lots of dead heading neded.
I will be pleased when this draught ends, if ever. The farmers fruit tress and vines are dying, the State government have cut back their water allocation (from the river Murray) so they cannot irragate, they can buy water at a great expense, they do not know whether to leave the land or not.
The State Government want to send the water down a pipe line into the City of Melbourne. Being by the coast
Melbourne gets far more rain than we do.
We have a terrible State Government. Victoria
Everything for the City, expensive sports grounds etc but very little for the Country.
Off my soap box now, and you are probably not at all interested what happens in Australia. Sorry lol!
I am always interested what is happening in England I suppose because I am English.
Best wishes to all Meg

Hi Shelagh, Glad Tony had a great time. Smile Did he stay in tents or was it like cabins? Brian said they went once but it was ages and ages ago.

((((Meg))))Big hugs hun.
I don't think any of the politions are worth much in my estimations. They all seem to only do what is good for themselves and not the country they are in. I hope you all get some rain soon there. If I could I would send you some of ours. We are having another cloudy gray day here. Sad
But then again it is a good day to stay tucked up inside and nurse my hangover. LOL Hamish was very generous with the wine last night and I don't think my glass was ever empty. LOL Yuk-kin fixed some gulash that was really yummy!!!And I pigged out just a bit. LOL So I think Brian and I are going to spend a nice quiet day here at home today. LOL

I love you I love you I love you

Morning all.

Meg - during my last three years of teaching we had a teacher from Melbourne on a swap. She used to say that where she lived, in town, it was great, but her 'beach hut' as she referred to it, showed a different level of provision of utilities. Maybe she was talking about water as well as power - I know she had a fight on her hands about power 'cos she used to come into the staffroom muttering dire threats against the folk in charge.

Glad you had an enjoyable day, Pat. The menu sounded wonderful - I love the French version of lemon tart - tarte au citron - sharp lemon filling and gorgeous with creme fraiche.........

The ironing is mounting up again.... bum.

There's a break in the cloud cover. Time to walk the dog, I think.

Back later, hopefully.

Have a great day, everyone.
Ann

Hi Ann, Enjoy your walk with Katie dog. Smile I bet you have her spoiled rotten. LOL Yuk-kin served the tart with fresh raspberries. And we also had fruit salad and some Mango sorbet. Only had a tiny bit of those. LOL

Jobs for oh done, phone calls made, Katie walked/run for an hour, video transferred to DVD, kitchen and bathroom cleaned, washing all dried and sorted, copmuter collected and been sworn over, meal cooked and eaten.... where has my crafting time gone? We want to watch 'Taggart' in just over half an hour!Ah well, I'm sure I can do something while I'm watching television - I hardly ever just watch it without doing something else at the same time.

Shelagh - Kepplewray House looks fantastic.

Hope you all enjoy what's left of the evening.

Love,
Ann
